Phi Omega was founded on April 10th, 1987, by Michelle Walsdorf and 7 other members. We were the first sorority at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to de-gender our constitution and to accept both non-binary and female-identifying members!

Our Advisor!
Jonelle is the Associate Registrar in the Office of the Registrar. She has been on campus almost 16 years; 7 in the Bursar's Office and 9 in the Office of the Registrar. She started as Degree Audit Coordinator and was promoted to Associate Registrar last year!
When asked how she got involved with Phi Omega, Jonelle said, "I was asked by a former neighbor to be an organization advisor in 2013 when they were looking to replace advisors who had left. I thought it sounded interesting and also allowed me to have direct contact with students when my job at the time really didn’t. I’ve been the advisor of Phi Omega ever since. I think my relationship with the org is somewhat different than other advisors as some of them never even meet the students in their organizations. I wasn’t someone who wanted to just collect titles and thought being an advisor from afar was pointless so I started coming to meetings and trying to be as involved as I could. It’s been amazing being a mentor in ways I would never have otherwise, working at the university".
In her free time, Jonelle loves genealogy and gardening (outside plants, not vegetables). Jonelle is also an alumnus of UWSP!
